Bahias de Huatulco is a beautiful resort that is a perfect place for a great holiday. The peak period is from December to April, it is advisable to visit Huatulco in October or November, to avoid the crowd. Like most beach resorts at Christmas and Easter, Huatulco is full of life. From October to February is the driest period of the year, these being the most sunny and pleasant months to visit Huatulco.

Avoid the rainy season from June to September when the humidity is high. September is the wettest month, and if you arrive in October, the flowers are still in bloom.

The accommodation prices in Bahias de Huatulco vary greatly depending on your budget and preferences. The Tangolunda Bay offers a hotel room in peak season at about $250-300 per night. Several of these hotels are all-inclusive. In La Crucecita, a hotel room cost an average of $25-30 per night. Prices drop by about 30% in low season.

As the price of accommodation, food prices vary much as well. In Tangolunda a dinner cost about $50. In La Crucecita, a dinner for two that not includes wine is about $30. You can buy fish from a restaurant on the beach for about $6.

There are several car rental companies in Huatulco. A rented car, for example a Volkswagen, cost about $50/day and a jeep will cost around $85. Scooters can be rented for $6/hour and $30/day.

Transportation in Bahias de Huatulco

Bahias de Huatulco is extremely easy to visit on foot. Car renting not necessary, because there are plentiful taxis that are cheap enough and the restaurants, hotels and beach area is not very large. If you prefer to rent a car, the famous companies that you can call include Avis and Advantage. It is best to book a car in advance to get the best prices. It is best to agree on a price before getting in a taxi. Locals do not offer tip to the taxi drivers, although this is expected from tourists.

Shopping in Bahias de Huatulco

In Bahias de Huatulco shopping is a limited activity concentrated around the Santa Cruz Square, in the Santa Cruz marina and the Crucecita Market. The souvenirs include regional specialties, like embroidered blouses and dresses and ceramics. In Crucecita you will also find the Oaxaca Plaza near the central square.
