Mexico is full of wonderful locations, but we would like to present you some beautiful cities you must see in Mexico with with gorgeous pieces of architecture. If you plan a long trip you should consider the season of spring.

A panoramic tour of Mexico City is a great way to start your holiday. There are plenty beautiful architectural buildings. We also propose Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, the city near the volcanos. Tuxtla Gutierrez is also an attractive city with breathtaking surroundings. The list continues with the city of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico and ends with Merida, the famous white city.

Tour of Mexico City

Visit the historic centre Zocolo (also known as Plaza de la Constitucion), National Palace (El Grande) and the famous murals of Diego Rivera and the Metropolitan Cathedral.

The tour could continue along the avenue Paseo de la Reforma and Park Chapultepec, dominated by the castle. You can also visit the National Museum of Anthropology, which houses a rich collection of pre-Columbian artifacts.

The Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico is a must see. If you want to try the traditional boats, you can go to Xocimilco for evening.

Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza

Puebla is a wonderful city founded in 1531, located near the two volcanoes: Popocatepetl and Ixtaccihuatl. Visiting the city you should admire the Cathedral, which is the second largest in Mexico, presenting a mixture of renaissance and baroque architectural styles.

The baroque Church of Santo Domingo is one of the most beautifully decorated church in the country with the beautiful Chapel Capilla del Rosario covered in gold. You can complete the tour with Plaza Mayor.

Tuxla Gutierrez

Tuxtla Gutierrez is the capital of Chiapas, where you can enjoy the wonderful scenery of mountains.

You can’t miss the Sumidero Canyon, it offers an unforgettable experience with its wonderful landscapes, rich wildlife – iguanas, monkeys, crocodiles, toucans, parrots ara, and so on. You can take a boat ride on the river Grijalva between the 1000 m high mountains.

Other great places to visit are Chiapa de Corzo and San Cristobal de las Casas, the picturesque mountain town.

Campeche

Campeche is a port city, and it is one of the best places to have a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico. The historical center of this beautiful town has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Merida

Merida, also known as “The White City”, is the colonial capital of the the Yucatan Peninsula, founded in 1542, with narrow streets, and a blend of Spanish and French style.

The most important places to visit in the city are: the gorgeous avenue, Paseo Montejo, the Motherland monument, the Central Market, the Cathedral and the Government Palace.
