The Mayan Riviera is marked by the 307 coastal highway and it is a paradise with all-inclusive hotels and luxurious villas with sea views. Although some people prefer to travel individually, the Mexican all-inclusive is really impressive so it is worth to try it.

The hotels are magnificent, with a large open space, with arches, columns, with exotic gardens, with swimming pools and many different restaurants.

Tourist attractions of the Yucatan Peninsula

The leisure options and day trips are very different, but we will make a top 5: Chichen Itza, Isla Mujeres, Akumel Beach, Cenotes and Tulum.

Chichen Itza is the famous Mayan archeological site with many great and beautiful pyramids. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in Mexico.

Isla Mujeres is an exotic island that is wilder and more untouched by the all-inclusive tourism. The beaches and beautiful and life is peaceful.

The Akumel beach is the best what a Great Reef Barrier can give: exceptional snorkeling, giant turtles, colorful fish and a spectacular underwater landscape.

The Cenotes are freshwater ponds of the Yucatan Peninsula that are popular tourist attractions. You can do underground snorkeling, which is a Mexican specialty.

Tulum is the only coastal city of the ancient Mayan population, where are many well-preserved ruins and it is surrounded by an exceptional Caribbean landscape.

We can add to this list an evening of clubbing at Coco Bongo in Playa Carmen, the main town on the Mayan Riviera. It is not a normal clubbing, for a ticket of 50-60 dollars you can get a transportation provided by hotels or a taxi you experience a spectacular Las Vegas style show.

Families with children and others may visit the Xcaret Park as well, a natural park where you will have the opportunity to admire the spectacular fauna and swim with dolphins.
