Mexico is located in the northern part of Latin America and it is bordered be the United States in the north and by Belize and Guatemala in the south. Being a federal republic the official name of the country is the United Mexican States.

Mexico City or Ciudad de Mexico is the capital of Mexico and it is one of the largest cities in the world. Acapulco is a tropical paradise with mountains with rich vegetation, fine beaches and a superb golf. Acapulco is one of the most popular destinations in Mexico.

Tourist attractions in Mexico City

Mexico City is a city characterized by restlessness, noise, air pollution, green parks and palaces. The capital city is the cultural, geographical and political center of Mexico and was built on the ruins of the ancient Aztec capital, Tenochtitlan.

The UNESCO declared two areas of Mexico City as a world heritage site: the Historic Center where are the historic and religious buildings and the Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the most impressive archaeological structures in the Western Hemisphere. The National Palace houses murals depicting the history of Mexico, the Palace of Fine Arts hosts the most important events in the city, its architecture blending the Art Nouveau and the Art Deco.

The Plaza de la Constitution is one of the top tourist attractions in Mexico City. It is the place of important festivals and a series of protests organized by the inhabitants, in the past being recognized as the monument of independence.

The Panteon del Tepeyac is a cemetery where rest important personalities from the history of Mexico. Here are several souvenir, popular and religion art shops, and the annual festival dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe takes place on December 12 with dances, religious sermons, carnivals, participating thousands of visitors.

Other tourist attractions in Mexico City are the Angels of Independence Monument, the Basilica of Guadalupe, the Latin American Tower and the Mayan Tower, the Chapultepec Park and Zoo, the Teotihucan Pyramids and many museums.

Tourist attractions in Acapulco

Acapulco is divided into three areas: Playa Revolcadero, where is the largest part of water and a tropical lagoon, Puerto Marguis, which recently opened many resorts and the Acapulco Gulf, which is the most famous, thanks to a mountain range that forms a natural harbor, because of the famous hotels, the hectic nightlife, the shopping places, the restaurants and cafes.

The main tourist attractions of Acapulco are: the jumpers from the Quebrada cliff, the Zocalo Square, the Pie de la Cuesta Coast, the Puerto Marquez, the Alvarez Fort, the Traditional Christmas Feast and the Sinfonia outdoor theater.
