Cabo San Lucas is a city at the far end of Baja California Sur in Mexico. Cabo is a varied destination that captures the essence of Baja Peninsula in its resorts. Cabo San Lucas is a bustling hub for fishermen, cruise ships, handicraft vendors, water sports enthusiasts and those who love the nightlife. The city is the final destination for travelers who want an outdoor adventure.

There are three districts in “Cabo” San Jose del Cabo and the “Old Town”, which is the nearest to the airport. San Jose has the charm of the old Mexico and some fantastic new resorts.


Cabo San Lucas, the “principal city” has many entertainment facilities. Cabo San Lucas is one of the most famous cities in North America with a brilliant nightlife and plenty of dining options.

In Cabo San Lucas taxis are available and prices are negotiable. One of the best  and more interesting ways the travel in the city of Cabo San Lucas is to rent a BMW motorcycle. At BMW Cabo can be rented MW motorcycles.

Payments in Cabo San Lucas

The peso is the official currency in Mexico. Exchange offices can be found at the airport. ATMs are widespread and they accept all major credit cards. Large hotels will exchange currency but generally at a lower rate.

Accommodation facilities in Cabo San Lucas

The hotels in Cabo San Lucas have more price categories: extra high – at Christmas, New Year, and usually one week in March; high from December to April; and very low from May to November. A percentage of 14% is added to the lodging bill.

There are also several car rental agencies in Los Cabos, most of which are well known in America.

Shopping in Cabo San Lucas

Whether you prefer negotiating for traditional products in an outdoor market, or you feel better in a modern mall, Cabo San Lucas really has something for every shopper. This shopping paradise abounds in boutiques, souvenir shops, suppliers of clothing, fine jewelry, art galleries and local craft shops.

Many of the shops are located in the area of the main square and the church. Specialty boutiques are offering for sale various products. The wonderful architecture, the charming atmosphere and the little cafes will make your shopping experience enjoyable and memorable.
